There is always room…

20 04 2010

This is such a 1970s Kraft Kitchen sort of snack, BUT there is protein in it. For those of you who aren’t savvy with the ways of the bypassed, protein is golden, and sugar/carbs are the devil. Very early out I ate a lot of jello and as more food came back into my diet, my colourful friend fell by the wayside.

Fast forward 11 months and I am stalling a bit, so i am looking back to the beginning and resuscitated this old standby.

Delicious Jello Snacks

1 pkg of sugar free jello

1/2   cup of Greek yogurt

4 containers, 1/2 cup each

Measure out 1 cup of boiling water, whisk water with the content of one jello package.  Once everything is dissolved, add 1/2  cup of cold water and mix.  Scoop out 1/2  cup of yogurt and whisk into mixture.

Pour the mixture in the cups and let it chill.

Each of these snacks are 25 calories and 2.5 grams of protein. Not huge, but good for those munchie days !!
