Day 3: Squishy Food

12 08 2010

yup.. i made it past liquids..WOOT. Last night I pulled everything out of our cupboards and reorganized… just to keep busy and not think about chewing.
Today was a good day, i could live in squishy foods, and i definitely feel full from dinner.
I had a protein shake, lunch was tuna muffins (recipe is on this blog), snack was ricotta cheese with some homemade peach jam (sf), and dinner was feta chicken salad (recipe is on this blog)

For snack tonight, ICE CREAM. We just finished the batch, i cleaned out the container, and have popped the ice cream in the fridge to harden up a bit.

Banana Peanut Butter Protein Ice Cream

2 cups homo milk
2 scoops chocolate protein
1/2 banana, frozen and mushed up
2 tbsp peanut butter, nuked for 1 minute in the microwave

whisk all ingredients together and pop into the magical ice cream maker. 25 minutes later, voila, ice cream. Ken deemed this a “winner”… i will serve it with some sf chocolate syrup !

Makes 3 cups:
per 1 cup serving (but seriously, us stomach challenged will eat only half of this)
262 calories, 12 grams fat, and 23.5 protein
