Meat Week – Teriyaki Beefness

My friend Jude has a friend who gave us this recipe. COMPLETE WINNER ! I will make this JUICE OF THE GODS and marinate everything in it. If I could be fit into a ziploc bag and hang with this marinade for 24 hours I would.

Other than making steak or any meat fantastic tasting, it also tenderizes the crap out of everything making it WAY easier to eat. BONUS Use it on any of your of meat, from chicken to salmon !!

Teriyaki Flank Steak

1/2 cup of soy sauce
1 clove of garlic, minced
2 tbsp brown sugar (i used Splenda)
1/2 tsp powdered ginger
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
1.5-2 lbs of flank steak
ziploc freezer sized bag

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, pour into ziploc bag, slide in the flank steak and let it sit in your fridge for 24 hours, flipping it on occasion when you go into the fridge to get something to drink.

Turn on the BBQ or the broiler in your stove and let it heat up. Broil each side for 6 minutes each for medium rare. Let it sit for 10 minutes before carving across the grain.

I served this with a zucchini bake and it was delicious !! We had leftovers that I tossed with some mixed greens the next day for lunch.

Nuts on this are so minimal on the sauce. 2 pounds of flank steak is 32 ounces of meat. Depending on how hungry I am I can eat 2.5 to 3 ounces of beef. I figured each portion to be 3 ounces, so adjust accordingly up or down for your needs.
